This property was formerly a barn converted into 2 houses and then into a single property at a later date.  The original conversion wasn't particularly well thought out and the layout required a degree of rationalisation to enable the property to flow as one large home.  In addition, we were asked to consider options for a lean-to extension to the side of the barn to increase the size of the existing kitchen and improve views out towards Pendle Hill in the distance.  A number of options were considered both modern and traditional, the final agreed option was a more traditional addition designed to resemble an original shippon that has been converted.
