New detached dwelling, North Yorkshire

We were approached by our client to re-develop a large site currently occupied by an outdated and tired bungalow.  The 10,000 sq.ft 4 storey dwelling is proposed to be built into the natural slope of the site to help reduce the scale of development, whilst further incorporation of the second floor into the roof space, helps visually reduce the height significantly. The client was keen to explore a modern design but constructed in traditional materials to help blend the proposals with the surrounding natural landscape.
